Notary Certification with Document Translation Services
Document Translation Services offers the most affordable notary certification services in Ireland and the UK. Notary translation includes translation of the document and certification of it by notary. This service may as well be named differently, for example, translation with notary certification or notarised translation. These concepts are synonymous and refer to the same set of actions - translation of the document and its certification by notary.
Notary translation of documents from English into a foreign language is required for use of such documents abroad. However, it should be taken into consideration that for the validity of the documents in other countries notary certified translation may be not enough - in some cases the document should go through the legalisation procedure (Apostilling or consular legalisation, depending on the destination country). Generally, for many countries it is enough to make a notary translation and Apostille. We recommend consulting the competent authorities of the destination country about the following: in what language a document should be provided, if there are several official languages in the country, as well as what kind of marks of the legalisation are required. By doing this in advance, it will help to prepare documents properly and in a timely manner.
Did you know? Docsbase Ireland provides the fastest, most cost effective document legalisation services between Ireland and the United Kingdom. Call our Dublin team today to find out more.

Notary certification of translation
Officially called a “translator’s signature notary certification”, it is carried out as follows: Translation is attached to the original document or the certified copy of the original document. The translator signs the declaration in the presence of a notary and the notary certifies the authenticity of the signature. The translator or the agency has to have a written agreement with the notary to perform such certification.
Notary certification is not the single form of authenticity. The alternative can be a certification of the translated document through a service provided by the company, in which their seal is attached. This seal can be applied in the following cases:
- If translation notary certification is impossible because of irregularities between the document and the requirements of legalisation - there are no legalization marks, necessary data and etc.,
- If your document does not require a mandatory notary certification
We draw your attention to the fact that none of these forms of authenticity is performed “by default” - it is a separate service that can be ordered when you are placing an order for the translation. Please, let us know about the type of certification required at the time of placing the order so that we can take it into account during preparation of documents and allowed additional time for its implementation. Please keep in mind that certification services are provided only for the documents prepared or translated by our company. If you already have a translation of the document and the only thing that is required is its certification, we can offer to perform a validation to make sure that we can put our signature on the document.
